This pub is the best pub in Cheltenham. Myself and a friend came to Cheltenham for a long weekend on the 3/8/07. The staff are very friendly and will go out of there way for you, especially Tom and Rob. They make the best pimms in the area and serve great food.

We decided to go to the Slug and Lettuce for my friends 21st birthday as it had just been refurbished. The service was terrible. We had been waiting 30 minutes before our order was taken and the place wasnt even busy as it was 3pm. It took 45 minutes for our food to be served when there were only 5 people in our party. Finally after we had our food brought over to us most of it was wrong or cold. The waitress was terribly rude and didnt even apologise for all the problems we had encountered, she had a major attitude problem! I will most definatly not be eating in there again.

The Slug and Lettuce re-opened yesterday after a major refurb and you will be pleased to know the toilets have had a complete re-fit. Good looking staff, great food and drink and nice now toilets. Well worth a visit or ten.

I love this bar, always have done. However they advertise non smoking but it's awefull for smoke, no extraction at all. And i suggest you go to the loo in your pants. That may sound vile but its not as vile as the gents toilets. I must say the food is fab but when I'm asked to go for lunch I cant help but think of the toilets and what must be breeding in the place.

A chilled out bar in the day serving great food, food different from the average pub food which is nice and makes a change. Service is excellent and staff very friendly. At the weekends in the evening it is a great place to meet before clubbing as the atmosphere and music get you in the party mood.

Used to be called Muswells under different management, and it was the location of my first underage procurement of a round of drinks, when I was 15. As such it holds a special place in my heart, but I haven't been for years, since the Slug & Lettuce chain of pubs are awful. Good location, and opposite Peppers (QV) so you can always leave if it gets too bad.

tiny and overpriced, more wine bar than pub. gets really jammed on a friday night and the stairs are highly trecherous! only plus point is central location. i have been dragged in kicking and screaming on the odd occasion but would rather boil my head than go there regularly.
