Open and well patronised when I called in for a pint and a lunchtime snack today. Friendly and helpful barmaid and landlord who checked out the ale I asked for, considered it unsatisfactory and offered me a taster of the other ale which was excellent before I bought it - sorry, there were unfortunately only 2 ales on and I can't remember their names. The chicken pieces with a sauce and the coffee afterwards (coffee served in a half pint beer mug) were very good indeed. Well worth a return visit

3 non chain ales on the handles - my 3 Three Tuns ale was in excellent condition. There is a restaurants at one end of the building, the pub area had wood floorboards vintage tables, chairs and benches, it had a traditional feel about it with various jugs, memorabilia and tools hanging from the ceiling beams or on the wall just like proper pubs used to have. Service was very good, my home made soup was excellent. Friendly atmosphere and customers when i visited, one said he travels one hundred miles for their cassoulet. I'll be back!

Wow and new wind has blown through my favourite pub in Wiltshire with the arrival of a new chef. Same wonderful bar and atmosphere, real fires et al but now the food is back at it's best. A great meal and a return to form. Welcome back.

Hair in my food. When I mentioned this to the manager, she did not offer an apology, despite me being completely polite to her when I mentioned it.
In her own words, she said she was too busy and stressed to deal with me.

Gristy "and it's a bit too obvious that "Shiner" is inextricably linked to your pub as well"

You are seeing what is not there, I have no connection to this pub, or nor other, the only connection I have to beer / pubs is as a user

FWIW I live in the Portsmouth area, and the only reason for being in G Bedwyn was visiting my mother

To anonymous 2nd March:- You could at least add a tagline saying you own or work at the pub. If you do either, perhaps you could explain why, having tried both (locked) doors, we spotted people through the window sitting at the bar who clearly saw us, but couldn't even lean out of a window to say sorry, we shut on Sundays...and it's a bit too obvious that "Shiner" is inextricably linked to your pub as well...the journey wasn't wasted, of course, as we had a decent experience in the Cross Keys.

We visited this pub in Feb, on a wet Wednesday lunch time. We did try the Cross Keys first as it was nearest our parking spot & had slightly better review than Three Tuns.

However even though the Cross keys was open all we got was a grunt & and [presumably] the landlord then vanished & left us in limbo. So we walked up the road to the Three Tuns

This was the best move we ever made. Although the door was locked [it was about 11:45] they opened up when they spotted us.

The welcome was friendly, and although the food was still being added to the blackboard menu we were able to order without fuss

We chose fish & chips, and it was absolutely lovely.

Service & staff were very good & helpful. Would certainly return again

I have eaten in this pub on many many occasions and the staff, the food, the beer and the atmosphere are fantastic. Fresh, homemade restaurant quality food served by attentive and extremely friendly staff.

If I'm going out for a meal this is always my first choice although I would recommend booking on Thursdays through to Sundays as it is so popular and usually fully booked in advance.

The opening hours are 12 noon to 3.00 pm every day and then 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm every day apart from Sunday when the excellent staff have a well deserved rest.

Maybe if you're thinking of travelling 45 miles to visit a specific pub you could give them a call first to find out their opening hours and possibly book a table and that way you won't have a wasted journey and be disappointed?

Would have loved to have checked out all the mostly positive comments about this place, but called in at 8pm on a beautiful sunny Sunday evening to find the doors locked. Unable to establish whether they were open, closed or otherwise despite being able to see people through the window, who did nothing to help us confirm anything...they may well have had a valid reason for the closure, but we won't be rushing back, especially as we had driven 45 miles from home specifically to visit the pub. The Cross Keys just down the road was therefore the recipient of our custom.
As a general comment, isn't it the most frustrating thing on earth for pubs not to have their opening times displayed, despite the recent change in licensing laws which means that almost no two pubs open for the same hours? With new visitors to a pub, how can you ever know whether you are welcome or not?

One of the most friendliest and happy places to go. The food is fantastic and as the staff. I would totally recommend a visit. Sundays are a special day too with fantastic roasts and a meat draw at 3pm.

Pretenious, over-priced, just like being in London but with a log fire. Roly the dog is the best bit about this pub.

The other comments pretty much sum up the pub - consistently good, welcoming & a thoroughly good place to spend time.

This pub is simple the bessssst. Great ambience - log fires, eccentric wall decorations. Superb food -home cooked, local, tantalisingly tasteful and stunningly presented. Warmest welcome you could imagine, great staff, excellent service. What more can I say ... except, try it yourself, you relaly wont be disappointed.

Keep up the goof work Al and Jan Carr, best Landlord and Landlanmdy in the land.

The Three Tuns is undoubtedly the finest Pub this side of the White Horse. First and foremost the food is fantastic, Al a Carte food at reasonable prices in the heart of the idyllic Wiltshire countryside. The pub itself also strikes an interesting balance between tradition and eccentricity as do, some might say, the Bedwyn locals. The Landlord and Landylady however are a perfect treat, extremely welcoming and friendly and run very tight and professional ship. Overall definitely worth a visit!

This pub provides excellent service and wonderful food. My family and I visited the area and were made very welcome. We will definitely be revisiting this pub.

A great country pub with amazing food cooked by the landlord tucked away in Wiltshire.
Great beer, wonderful beer garden in the summer. Definitely one of my favorite pubs in the UK
