Drinks here are expensive. I got little change from a tenner after buying two pints and a swanky bottle of beer. A single gin and tonic costs a staggering £4.10. On the other hand the Thai food is good value. Most dishes with either chicken or beef are a reasonable £5.60; choosing prawn or duck costs a little more. The pub itself is small and there's a garden which seems a little uncared for. Still it's a nice enough pub hidden away from the riff raff and noisy streets. Also the Carling Extra Cold is tip-top.

as i am not a local, i walk a long way to come here because the carling is good, the staff are excellent and trying to pick something wrong with the manager is harder to pick than a broken nose! she is wonderful. compared to havelock this is 200%. topped off by a great location and superb food.

Not too bad, but the emphasis is on the Thai menu and wine list rather than beer here. The only real ale on this time was London Pride, but have previously enjoyed the Hoegaarden siting outside in the sunshine.

An excellent pub which manages to be both smart enough to attract the well-heeled locals it needs to survive in this area, yet still has some good more traditional beer (Bass, London Pride) to attract the rest of us. The wine they have is decent and reasonably priced. The thai food is excellent (fresh ingredients) and very cheap (£4-6 for a main). All in all, very hard to fault.

This is a really good pub. The interior is a bit dry but has a nice Thai themed beer garden at the back. Staff are friendly and the Thai food is delicious. Cheap eat!

A shame if it's been 'turned' because by the time I left the area in early 2005 this, along with the Cumberland Arms, was my favourite pub in the area. Maybe Dave is right and it was time to go ....

Just had the worst pint of San Migel ever, here. Clean the pipes...

Rather bland Pub, but with very good Thai food. (although I did once have a fish dish that smelt of the giraffe house at London Zoo)

I hope I'm not jumping to conclusions here, but it looks like the last nice pub in the area is being turned into a Bird In Hand-style abomination - the Bird In Hand having been a brilliant, old-fashioned boozer filled with people from all walks of life which has now turned into the blandest 'all bar one'-type place possible, full of identikit Soho types. Please, can't you just stay in Revolution, and leave our local pubs alone. If the Old Parrs Head is in for a similar treatment, it really is time to leave the area.

Quiet traditional local pub offering great Thai food, tucked away in a quiet back street near Brook Green. London Pride and Bass.
