The 2nd of 2 pubs in Robin Hoods Bay that feature in the 2014 GBG.

Sat on the hill at the top of the bay, this is a large and imposing hotel with amazing views across the bay.

Main bar was rammed as there was a wedding being held on the lawn...i hope the weather held off for them as there was rain in the air!

Old features inside the main bar area and now we get onto the beer's, a great range of 6 different Yorkshire ales on the pumps but unfortunately I only had a lemonade as I was driving and wanted to save myself for a beer in Whitby!

Large area to the front with benches and tables to sit and watch the world go by.

Rooms available upstairs.

spent two nights in there. food's good, especially the fish pie. however, drinkswise the theakston's lightfoot is spectacular. the new owners are building trade up nicely. the atmosphere was great and it was rammed on an out of season weekend.

Good selection of ales in here including more local'ish varieties such as Daleside, Copper Dragon and Camerons plus others from further flung locations. I also had some crab soup in here and the portion was large and delicious served with fresh bread and butter. Recommended.

Popped in here late August for a pint or two. Found a small but good selection of ales. One of the best pints of Strongarm ever. Very friendly barman working. I returned later with the family for a bite to eat. Food menu a little limited. Although still over priced (like all the other places) it was one of the cheaper ones. Sandwiches good and the kids meals excellent value.

Spent a enjoyable hour in here on 04/08/12, great views over the bay from the beer garden. Not a problem to just, pop in for just a beer like some Hotels.Very nice selection at the bar including Theakston XB, Best, Crime of passion (Very good) as well as Cameron's Best bitter and Strong arm. Agree with previous poster this is the best pub in RHB.

Best pub in Robin Hoods Bay for quality and variety of beer. Main bar mercifully free from mewling and puking kids and dogs (there's another room for them).

All the other pubs in RHB seem to be serving the same beers from Theakstons and other bigger breweries. Are they under the same ownership, I wonder?

An imposing cliff top pile that sits near the steep bank down into the old village. The Victoria is a residential hotel incorporating a public bar with an adjacent family room.

Beers were from Camerons and Daleside on this visit. The quality of the 'Old Leg Over' was OK, but served way too cold for my taste.

Friendly barstaff. Food looked good quality, but wasn't cheap.

The bar was rather bland and 'hotel-y', but didn't admit children in any case. The family room was overrun with diners unable to get a table in the bar and so we were forced to sit outside, on the patio, in the drizzle. All rather frustrating.

Despite a Good Beer Guide listing, not the sort of place I'd stay for more than a pint.
