Now renamed as Molly Mallones. I must try it one day, when the Pelican has run out of beer...

The pub is horribile to look at from the outside and horrible to look at from the inside. The landlords that are running this place are a big problem. The tall old one is very grumpy and rude to everyone whilst the young skinny kid playing at being a landlord doesnt have a clue what he is doing. Went for lunch in the week and the food was awful. Been past on a saturday night and is half full with rough people. best avoided.

Very nice pub, much cleaner than when the last tenant's owned it and the last time I visited about 1 year ago. The whole pub is much cleaner than it used to be and has a better atmosphere overall. Very friendly and well mannered staff and a good variety of beer and spirits on tap . Keep this up, it's a definite improvement! I'm giving this pub a 6/10 but I expect it can only get better judging by the way they've started.....

Regards

Tim.

Karaoke on when i went in,it was awful. Not a memorable pint. Doombar i think and quite expensive for Gloucester.

Nice pub. But very hot given that it was a very hot day. Had the Doom Bar. It was warm and flat. Like most of the beer I'd had in Gloucester up till then!

Big "TO LET" sign over the door. Walked in. Music appeared to stop. Only 1 punter in. Fierce looking bird behind bar. Only Doombar on. Felt scared. Pretended to look for someone. Walked out.

Landlord was whingeing on BBC news on the anniversary of the cancerstick ban as to how bad trade is. Enough said.

a modernish high street pub, but done out in timber beam. pleasant enough, but not very authentic.
clean and presentable but nothing spectacular.
more interesting pubs in the area.
see "nearby" above.
cask ales: sharpes doom bar, fullers london pride.
