One of the few pubs you can get in on a Friday night. One pint of Unicorn consumed. A bit cloudy for my liking. Nice staff and popular.

£3.40 for a pint of Cumbria way!! Ouch!
No wonder it was quiet.

Not a patch on its old self now Robinsons have taken over.

Good point about below about being overshadowed by the Dog & Gun, but I actually had my best pint in Keswick here. The pros outweigh the cons here.

A Robinsons pub so sampled some of their own ale, which was fine. Sat in the beer garden due to being hot, plenty of folk around. Again I am critical of the pricing of ale £3.05 for Unicorn is way too steep. Did not eat any food on my visit

Nice friendly pub with decent meals. The beer could be better but still not too bad. Worth going on way down or back from the lake.

Traditional Robinsons pub in the shadow of the always packed (but excellent) Dog and Gun. This works in its favour as it's far less packed and you've a far better chance of getting food here, which is very good and reasonably priced. Usual Robinsons range but cosy atmosphere and friendly staff means that this is a very good pub. aAlways worth a visit alongside its more prolific neighbour.

Next door to the Dog & Gun this is a traditional small pub with interesting Victorian artifacts on the walls & shelves. Choice of Robinson's & guests. I had an excellent pint of Cumbria Way from Hartley's on my recent visit.

Popped in here for a pint on way to theatre and was welcomed by staff and thanked when leaving. Average pint of Robinsons but the atmosphere and surroundings plus the site of the food coming out of the kitchen would certainly encourage me to return when next in Keswick
