Yes that's the end. A friend of mine has seen them carrying out some of the fixtures & fittings.

Has now been bought by a firm of builders / developers and is boarded up. It seems the land will be used for houses / flats sometime in the next few years.

I’m afraid the Cock has closed again and is up for sale.

I haven’t been in yet but The Cock & Dolphin has now reopened.

It’s been closed and boarded up now for about 3 to 4 months or so now (if not longer). It was closed supposedly for refurbishment after the last landlord jacked in (who took over from a landlord who had the Cock for several years previously) but there has been no sign of anything been happening. It’s a shame really because it was a nice little pub and I was a regular at lunchtimes when I was at the college up the road. When it was open it served one or two good real ales but I have to say I never tried the food. Hopefully it will reopen soon.
