Bog standard trendy pub. Only really worth going on Saturday nights for the club night. Venue occasionally puts on good gigs, although it hasn't come up with much recently.

Good quirky decor and general atmosphere, service could be better, but still worth a visit, serve food til late which is ace, need to bring back curly fries though. Music good, but avoid the open mike night, those nickleback wannabes shouldn't be allowed near an instrument!

This place started well when it opened and has gone steadily downhill since. It basically only survives because it gets good bands and club nights in the venue and plays quality music at a decent volume (i.e. you can actually talk to your mates).

Good music, though, is where it ends, because the bar itself is rubbish. Pretty poor selection of overpriced drinks, incompetent, inattentive and often outwardly rude staff who are clearly only employed for having the right 'look' (ok, this is generalising, but it's the case 90% of the time) and inadequate seating. Oh, and the quality of the draught varies from passable to utterly foul.

Food used to be good, but is now just ok and is getting poorer and poorer value for money. There's just nothing going for this place overall, except maybe the large (but scummy) outside area. Even the good Happy Hour deals of years past are gone. Shame.

the beer is dreadful, but it's a music venue so what do you expect, I've seen some good bands here.

Brilliant, excellent venue. Good quality fast food when gigging. I saw Keane here a few years ago and they were immense, met Tom afterwards. Not sure if he was quite Priory bound then.

Things have certainly changed here since these other reviews, or is it just me? It seems like every time we go it just gets worse. Last time the beer was so bad we didn't even finish it. I really don't care to go back unless it's to see a show.

Brilliant, favourite bar/club in Nottingham...rocked to the Killers, skanked, sweated to & got my denim clad bottom signed by one of the Detonate crew (D&B hip hop rave)... a place to cavort with mysterious like-minded indie-gigsters with a penchant for the avante garde, Strokes hair and compulsory Converse. Music appreciation, no cheese mongering in whiff!
Also, PIZZA & A PINT for 5- yay!

Good venue for live music - big(-ish)names on a regular basis. Frequentd by young, cool (supposedly) people.

The bar's not up to much though. It's usually freezing in there and there's not a great deal of seating.

The beer's duff but they do have a Happy Hour of 2 for the price of 1 on selected drinks before 7pm. Get there at 6.55 and buy 8 pints of half price Stella to see you through the evening only to run out about half nine and have to pay full price. Not even the 2 for 1 offer makes me want to drink in here, unless there's a good band on.

Hands down, Saturday club night is the best night in town! If you want to hear Interpol, The Libertines, British Sea Power etc. then this is the best place. Top quality.
