This pub has been closed for some time and is reported to be in a poor state of repair.
It is likely to be demolished and 8 new council homes built on the site. Unusually this pub is owned by the local council.

I been pass the pub for years never went in there. Now it has new landlord and landlady I change my mind they are very kind people they always say hello to there customer the beer is the best in taunton they have time the place around it the place to go in taunton and I will tell that to everyone well done Zoe and wyndham hope to keep you here WELL DONE to you both xx

Formerly a no go pub of Taunton. Now very well run by Welsh couple who know how to run a pub well. Friendly, chatty welcome and well kept real ales. Pub games, leagues and plans for food. A lovely atmosphere. a new Taunton favourite!

We were staying in Taunton in the nearby travelodge and after walking back from the town centre we thought what the hell let's risk going in here.
Actually it was alright very quiet and the people were quite friendly.
This is an old school boozer in 10 years there won't be any pubs around like this, just poncy coffee bars.

IV LIVED NEAR THE PUB FOR A WHILE AND AS ALWAYS BIN A BAD PUB BUT ON THE 4/7/2011 THE PUB REOPEND WENT IN AND I WAS SHOCKED ITS VERY CLEAN AND TIDY THAY SPENT ALOT ON IT I NEVER FORT I WOOD SEE THE DAY SO GO IN FOR A DRINK LET ME NO WOT U THINK
