Lively Shepherd Neame pub in the village of Doddington, not too far out of Faversham. There were plenty of drinkers spilling out onto a paved area to the side of the pub. This may have been due to the volume of the music in the bar area, which was a bit too high. The bar area does have a pool table at one end, whilst there is also a slightly quieter lounge with a raised dining area. At the rear, there is a garden with a children's play area. Ales were Shepherd Neame Master Brew & Samuel Adams Blonde Ambition & Whitstable Bay Pale Ale.

New landlady is a disaster!
She apparently ran a greasy spoon previously which explains why the beer is crap and the food not much better
Dont complain about the beer if you know whats good for you!!!
What a shame.

A real gem in the old country tradition, the landlord is very genial and the locals were surprisingly friendly. Not fine dining, but the food looked very good and the menu is extensive enough to please everyone. Very well kept beer, if Shepherd Neame qualifies in your book? It's a shame I have to drive to get there otherwise it would be a regular venue for me.
