please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

It's a fabulously furnished and stylish venue. Open till half two and free entry before midnight. The barman is a handsome young chap is just like Tom Cruise in Cocktail. A fiver after 12. Grab yourself a flyer for discounted entry.

I've just re-read my review below and I can only conclude I must have been on something, because not only was I far too generous, I completely failed to describe just how woeful this place is. It's an absolute shithole!

This bar/club is absolutely appalling. Cheap drink promotions are about all Chateau 6 has to offer, so you can just imagine the type of crowd that it attracts! Avoid at any cost unless you enjoy having drinks spilt over you by pissed up students with big egos!

I've only been in at lunchtime or early evening, so couldn't comment on posts below. Must say, as a bar it's ok, but I'm never tempted to stay for more than the one. Not a great beer choice, no garden (a conservatory, but you can't smoke). Could be easily missed.

We went with a few friends to Chateau 6 last night and oh my god, what a disappointment! On the web, it looks stylish, trendy, cool, sophisticated...If only that was reality, but unfortunately it couldnt be further from the truth.

The management seem to think that offering cheap cocktails and free shots is the best way to attract a crowd. Unfortunately all this seems to do is attract chavs and students who are looking to get pissed for as little as possible. The music also reflects this and after a couple of hours the constant loud boom boom boom becomes annoying to say the least.

I certainly would not recommend visiting this establishment, as there are much better bars and clubs in the vicinity.

Have to say, I totally agree with the two people that have previously posted on here. We booked a table in the so called VIP area for a friends hen night drinks as the website claimed that it hosted a glam and sexy crowd! Hmmmm! guess that depends on if you class students as sexy and glam!!!! The place was full of girls and boys in their late teens, who were mostly plastered, very immature and very loud. I lost count of how many times someone knocked our drinks over. Then to top it off, someone thought it would be a good idea to stick fireworks in a bottle of overpriced champagne in a crowded bar.. Great move, lets send everyone home with third degree burns. That was the last straw for us and we left and went to another club down the road, where the owners bother to check id and are more selective with who they let in. I didn't realise that the "6" in chateau 6 was the average age of the clientele.

I had my birthday drinks at Chateau 6. To say it was woeful is an understatement. The club was mostly empty all night and the only people in here were drunk school kids who were falling all over the place and offering to fight anyone who was unfortunate enough to be in their way. The drinks policy of only serving doubles is ludicrous, I dont mind spending money but this isnt the West End, Its Fulham Broadway. The music was too loud, too heavy and totally out of keeping with the venue which would explain the lack of any atmosphere, and to make matters worse, there is no one to complain to as the blonde Barbie doll who claims she is "THE OWNER" was arrogant, obnoxious and too busy getting off her tits to deal with our concerns. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!

First of all, this is not a pub, it's a bar. It costs 5 to get in after 10.30pm on Fridays (and presumably the same on Saturdays), however I cannot confirm whether this applies to weekday nights as well.

Once inside it's quite small but with plenty of tables around the edges, and there is the added bonus of a dance floor out towards the back. Music throughout the bar was loud and tended to be dance or electronic in nature. This apparently changes depending on the night of the week. The bar's intended feel is upmarket, sophisticated and slightly cool.

Now for the drinks. Chateau 6s website boasts "an extensive range of cocktails, an elegant wine list through to popular draught beers." Well, cocktails are plentiful and there certainly appears to be a good range of spirits. However, it's doubles only, so it's pricier than it needs to be.

When it comes to beers though, Chateau 6 is something of a let-down. There are three taps on the bar, including Leffe and Staropramen, however quite remarkably these are switched off after 10.30pm. I queried this with the barman who tells me that this is their usual policy. I laugh and make it known that I think this is absurd. He apologises and agrees that it is a bit silly. Fair enough though, that's their policy and theres little I can do about it, so I turn instead to the fridge, but things are no better in there.

Unfortunately it's a choice between Peroni, a dull and rather characterless Italian lager, and Corona, a classic example of one of the most boring beer styles on the planet. Beer-flavoured water in a bottle. Nice! At least they dont have Bud though, that would be stooping a little too low!

Considering the wide variety of good-quality spirits and cocktail options available, it is amazing that they don't offer anywhere near the same quality with regard to beers. Why not offer a couple of classy bottled Belgian ales, or some genuine German wheat beers or bottled Czech lagers instead? It's clear that this place does attract a higher class of customer than in many places in Fulham, or at least seems to, so why not have a beer menu to reflect this? It would seem that whilst ladies are undoubtedly very well-catered for, men could have a hard time choosing what to drink here.

In conclusion, Chateau 6 is disappointing. It is not terrible, but it could be so much better if it weren't for the doubles-only policy and the lack of drinkable beers. Unfortunately these flaws undermine Chateau 6 and detract from what would otherwise be a reasonable place for a late-night drink. However if all you want is a lively place for a drunken boogie after closing-time, then this place could be right up your street!
