Captured again thanks to the inefficiency of GWR! £5.10 for a pint of Heineken......... Must try the refurbed Sidings (Reckless Engineer).

Ha...at those prices, you would expect a full range...only one handpull on (Saturday middle of the day, 29.01.16)...very poor show or poor management...unbelievable. Now the King's Head, less than half a mile from the station, in Victoria Street, is an absolute delight, so go there instead for a cheaper pint in a great pub!

After my previous experience with the Butcombe I thought I'd play safe and go for Doom Bar - £4.10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daylight robbery.

The Butcombe is now an unbelievable £4.30 a pint, glad I only had 20 mins to wait for a train!

Good pint of Butcombe, eye watering £3.85 a pint mind. If it wasn't for Butcombe range on tap this would be a sorry pub. Its a walkers only £3.99 breakfast travel lodge pub in all other respects. No need to try when your on a station. But grudgingly please to have a pint before travel. Cool building.

If there's joy in heaven at one sinner repenting, they'll be dancing in the aisles at the sight of real ale on sale inside Temple Meads station. Having spent a beard-growing amount of time waiting to be served in the Knights Templar I turned up at platform 3 and saw to my surprise an advert for Butcombe Bitter. Equally amazingly, it was a clean, crisp pint in excellent condition, and good value (with my free Bite card) at a precise 2.56. Finally, this fantastic piece of Victorian Gothic architecture now has something worth crossing its threshold for. Oh, and there was Greene King IPA too, should you be that way inclined.

Cafe bar on the platform at Temple Meads station. OK, if you happen to want a cool lager on a hot afternoon and can get a seat at one of the outside tables.
