I strongly disagree with the last posted comment. I think you may be talking about The Grove. (Pikeys and cheap booze!)
Agree with previous poster (A Smith), this place has potential.......put something on a Monday to Wednesday....Karaoke, Quiz nites etc......Make people WANT to come in!
Thursday nite's.......Classic!

This pub is completely empty Monday to Wednesday.
Last time I looked in there on a Tuesday evening threre was someone pushing a vacuum cleaner around.
I dont' think they even try until the weekend.

Have visited 3 times, each time pub was empty and atmosphere sucked! As previously stated,no soap or working dryers.. The place will always be the Litten Tree no matter how they try to jazz it up. Good luck 'Big Fish', you're gonna need it!

The people commenting below must have visited on a different day to me. I started using the place and tried the draught cider. It was totally flat, and when I tactfully and politely mentioned it to the manager, he said it must be right because his engineer said it was! His attitude towards myself and others was downright rude.I noticed several others leave in disgust because of that. My mate will not go in there again for the same reason.
Also it is supposed to be an eating place, so why not supply soap and hand dryers that work.

Ok, this place is still litten tree........But i cant wait for the refurb and apart from the fact its usually a bit too quiet, i really like it, the staff are always friendly, and are just lovely bar tenders(very good looking too). and the manager/owner is always friendly, they have good food in the day (although could have a bit wider range on steaks and gamon ,lol)overall its a great place, so good luck with the refurb!!!!

THE LITTEN TREE IS NO MORE (THANK GOD!!) This is now the best new independent pub in Swindon called BIG FISH. Beautiful, friendly staff - good DJ's and events like quizes, karaoke etc.
