Now boarded up and seems to have been like that for some time.

I used to like the Black Sheep, had a few good nights in here.

Haven't been for a few years and came passed on Saturday to notice it has now changed hands and name.

Rating based on when it was the Black Sheep

If you used to love a pikey then head on down. Like most bars south of the river the atmosphere would be better with a midget friend!

Average bar, but better than some of the ones around it. Beer seemed in reasonably good condition. Worth popping in if you are nearlby but wouldnt go out of my way to go here.

I didn't expect to like it (being a grumpy old woman) but I did! The staff and so lovely and welcoming, and are knowledgeable about drink. I don't much like the decor inside but the garden is getting better - they could still plant more here though, and improve the seatings and create a view: the view could be fabulous!
It had a lovely atmosphere - nice to see young people having a good time.

This place used to be better. Maybe a Saturday night isn't a good night to go in here. Went last night with a group of friends as a late drink and it was dreadful. The staff are lovely and ought to get medals for the kinds of people they have deal with. Some people were rude, loud, sick, really drunk. The number of times that a track on the CD didn't make it to to more than 20 seconds was massive. I sound like a grumpy sod, but we were really dissapointed. This place could be really good and it has been in the past. But for some reason it was rubbish last night. Other than that, the seats are comfy, drinks mid range price, music diabolical, toilets were good etc.

An OK bar in the vein of those sleek and sexy joints around Clerkenwell, except less comfortable and less sophisticated (and less sleek and sexy if it comes to it!). It's got lounge bar pretentions with a pub style atmosphere and clientele. I'd imagine that the local Estate Agents drink here. The food is standard finger food stuff and the seating is arranged so that if a few groups come in then everyone else is standing. The outdoor space at the back has awesome views. Over-priced, but in that way that CP has become of late... There aren't many better bars in CP for this style of drinking but that's more a critiscism of CP than a recommendation for the Black Sheep. Go in a group and you'll enjoy it.

I'm another person who will like this bar more when the smoking ban is enforced. Smoke in pubs doesn't usually bother me too much but there's something about the layout or the flow of air which means that if you're eating something, there will be smoke drifting over your food. The food itself isn't bad at all so will taste all the better soon. Service good and friendly, the only other thing they could improve is the range of beers which aren't very imaginative. Good choice of wine/cocktails though.

If it wasnt for the heavily smoky atmosphere I would have rated this pub higher. Thankfully the crowd of the Puzzle did not shift to the Black Sheep, leaving it immune from a more substantial downgrade.
The service is friendly and the atmosphere is nice, though Id rather be able to speak to the other person standing in front of me rather than shout!
This combined with the passive smoke was a fatal mix for my throat. It took me 2 days to recover to full power!
I believe they will benefit from the smoke ban!

Not bad, quite young crowd. Only prob for me was lack of real ales and lack of comfortable furniture (only sofas and very very low tables).

Nice place, if a little like an airport lounge when its quiet. Great cocktails! Decent atmos on a weekend, and excellent service.

The Black Sheep is a great place. The staff are all really friendly as are the clientele. Good menu and varied range of cocktails and the atmosphere is highly pleasant. Would recommend to anyone.
