Spotty Dog! Joyous friday teatime session. Years since I've been here. Good pub, good beer - it's the GWB Brewery tap and had six ales on (3 GWB, plus Bass, Butcombe and one other). Maiden Voyage on great form and only 2.65 a pint. Woo hoo!

A good selection of handpumps available of which I opted for a perfect pint of a Burton Bridge ale.7/10

I've never had a bad pint in here. The local GWB beer is very good and the bar staff are helpful and polite.

Excellent old real ale pub where I had a meal with my friends. Its amazing that a little village pub can have such excellent meat - I had Aberdeen Angus for Sunday Lunch! It was amazing - the Landlady was really chatty and nice. I hope to be back soon

Beers now dominated by those from the owner's Great Western Brewery, which is a good thing.

Used to be my local. Beers served in excellent condition, although the selection can be unadventurous. Atmosphere pretty good too.
