No real ale, just keg GKIPA and John Smith's. Think they keep bottles of Spitfire.

Hidden little Irish pub with a nice atmosphere and welcoming landlord. Watched the footie here in perfect happiness and would return if in the area.

Oh, and as of November 2012, sometimes has a real ale on hand pump. For Halloween 2012, Hobgoblin was on at around £3.00 a pint.

Great pub. Cheap - November 2012's prices include just £3.10 for a pint of Guinness, 50-60p cheaper than the Union Tavern across the street and the Westbourne 3 minutes away at Westbourne Park Tube.

Friendly bar staff and all sports shown on TV. Very cosy on a winter's evening.

Great pub, Dennis the guvnor makes sure the pub has no idiots or growlers about, great for sports with the screens and not forgetting a great pint at great prices, couldnt recommend this pub enough, top marks.

I popped in here for a couple of pints on Friday afternoon and although the place is darker than Peter Mandelsons soul I still had a good time. The barman (Greg) was extremely friendly and the other couple of people that seemed like regulars struck up a conversation with me almost before I had got to the bar.

I stuck to the very nice Guinness, but the usual generic draught that you would find in an Irish bar was also available along with Tuborg.

The pub shows Sky and Setanta and there are a couple of plasma screens which were showing the cricket which seemed to be the hot topic of the day. There is also a nicely placed dartboard in the corner and if I hadnt forgotten my darts I would have probably stayed a lot longer than I did.

This is a fantastic pub and I will definitely go back here again.

Been a while since I've been here but enjoyed it. Two pints of Carlsberg 5.40. They had a riddly diddly do band on (maybe for the party they had on) but it was a proper one. These guys were proper musicians, knew what they were doing and seamlessly switched between instruments. None of your kareoke crap. Well done.

This place is a great refuge from overpriced overated 'it bars' in the surrounding area, clean well kept and friendly. Good mix of sport mad very friendly Irish regulars and well mannered professionals from all backgrounds using this bar. Very good friendly landlord who has no time for loud mouth drunken types, all in all an excellent bar to start a night out in or to watch a sunday football match.

Can beleive how quiet this place is in the evenings as its a proper decent pub with excellent bar staff and numerous Tv's to watch the football on - if you like a quiet, friendly pub which is run by a top bloke who REALLY knows his music - this is the place - I just prefer a bit more of an atmosphere

8/10

Really nice local, very reasonably priced drinks, sport on the tv, but not taking over the pub, good service, relaxed atmosphere.

Yep, agree with previous, better than the bollox over the road,... quite an intimidating entrance though,....one of those ones where every table in the gaff seems to be facing the door. You may as well style it out, go the whole hog and give it a big (arms spread)"Ta da!" as you walk on in.......

Having walked out of The Union still gobsmacked that so many people enjoy shouting at each other and fighting for a drink, we walked round the corner to Angies. Been here several times before and it's usually been quite empty (possibly people watching the footie in the afternoon).

Anyway, very Irish, Celtic memorabillia on the walls (oh dear, they were in for a shock the next day), riddley diddley do music, smokey and generally very pleasant for a pint.
