It might well look "Chav tastic" but pretty friendly, with football, and a quiz. If you are around, it can be nicer than South hill Park bar, which is now essentially spoiled

good pub, hard to get a seat and sometimes i find i have to wait at the bar but generally quite good

Quiz info: On Weds there are 3 rounds, and on Thursdays it's a roll over round (prize: 1 gallon of beer!). Friendly lady on the phone.

two distinct separate bars, one for youngsters and one for oldies. generally good crowd. they might all look and act like chavs but always a good laugh. open til 12 at the weekends. two pool tables. all the usual ie karioke, quiz night etc. no real beer but the gurls are friendly. ha ha.
