Lovely pub (and one of the oldest in the country). The drinks is good and the food (although on the pricey side) always excellent.

I recently stayed at the Millers Hotel, Sibson and I noticed that just across the road from the hotel was an interesting inn called the Cock Inn. It is very much a dinning inn and not really the sort of a place that you would pop in for a pint. There were six of us, the food and service was so good, we ate there Friday & Saturday night and returned for Sunday lunch. The place is so friendly and the choice of food is amazing. Service is swift and all the staff were brilliant. Well done!

Visited this pub just before noon on a weekday. First thing we were asked at the bar was wether we were eating!....Its a sodding pub is'int it?....All the tables were set for lunch....felt guilty for having just having a pint...not a bad one at that. Maybe they should just give up the pretence of calling the place a pub and call it what it really is.....a restaraunt that sells beer.

I have eaten at this pub before and on occasions I have had a good meal. sometimes everyone has a bad day. But I feel that if i have a problem every other time i visit, then others must also. My mothers birthday meal was a let down tonight. The starter, breaded mushrooms were burnt. We all got our main corse served but our vegetables and salads were forgot. by the time we made someone aware some of the food mainly the fish had gone cold. Then had no serving spoons, the veg came and the fish was taken away, the fish came back hot but then the wrong plate put back at the wrong person. The manager was informed but although my mother had got tearful all we were was offered was a free round of drinks. shame really, finally the staff are friendly and appear be helpful, but I feel that they over book and try to serve too many people at one time. They could really make somthing of this place if they concentrate on quality and not covers. people just want god beer, good food, good service, fair price, and if we get it we come back for more and recommend

I visited this place for the first time on Sunday. Nice olde worlde feel, very cosy with interesting nooks and snugs. Had a very nice traditional Sunday lunch and the rest on the menu looked appertising too - though prices for the main meals was a little towards the expensive side. Will definately visit again - even though it is out in the sticks :)
