user reviews of The Bank House, Cheltenham

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

As the previous reviewer said, nearly two years ago, this pub is now a Wetherspoon. As such it is exactly what you would expect, large and with plenty of good beer. It's also extremely handy for anyone getting the bus into Cheltenham.

Now Called "The Bank House", and is a stunningly well refurbed Wetherspoon. The place must be visited to sample the excellent ale and the new interior, well done JDW!! 9/10

Nice looking interior as with all the Que Pasa Chain but sadly only keg beers, still worth a vist for a late nite pub/club type place, 7/10

Since the change i think this bar has become THE place in town to go at day or night, i went in during the day for a meal and the food was excellent and went back at night and its so much better. The new door team are so friendly and seemed to have cleaned the place right up. The new head doorman has really made an impact on this venue, so keep up the good work guys.

Came across this site to read some of the views of the pubs in Cheltenham. I couldn't believe the views on this site so actually registered to post a view.

I remember the Toad being rough long before the management change. Once a pub gets a bad reputation like that it's hard to change, but it seems to have been gradually getting better in the last few months. I'm glad that Toad got rid of the old DJs, especially the guy who used to do Friday night. It's true that the Toad label was getting a bit worn and a change was needed. The new 'Que Pasa' pub has been excellent since it opened. The atmosphere is buzzing and I'll be back.

The person who keeps submitting the anonymous postings obviously has a personal axe to grind and is afraid to reveal their identity. They may have worked at the Toad and been sacked by the new mangement team, judging by the numerous personal attacks on the new manager. Possibly an ex-bartender or DJ?

I totally agree - this pub used to be the place to go for a bit of fun with friends and is now the place to avoid. Definitely gone down hill since the new management has come in (not that he seems to be that involved).

Even though has been rebranded I think this place has had its day
