Rockers pub not too far from the centre of the Lancaster action. It had a decent range of ales - Coniston Bluebird, Black Sheep Best Bitter, Batemans Autumn Fall & Mad Dog Bark Like A Bird, plus a cider - Old Rosie with Rhubarb. Live music appears to be popular. I don't believe there was any last night. But it was still fairly busy. There was an outdoor area at the rear.

Odd place but a welcoming atmosphere and clearly a big music venue. Reminded me of my band days many years ago so a big plus for me for such a pub to have real ale and good real ale at that. Bet it has cracking live music nights followed by brilliant buzzy ears and hangovers the following day!

Black Sheep Riggwelter, Coniston Bluebird, Everards Tiger and Moorhouse Premier. This was the last of four pubs so memory is a little hazy but seemed young and lively. We were too late for the bands upstairs but the jukebox pumped out some decent stuff. Worth a visit.

Take this place for what it is, a local bands venue. Four cask beers in great condition.Decor could be more co ordinated but not put off going back.

Dreadful place and it used to be one of the best in town, close to the Sugar House and brilliant parties. I was so disappointed when I walked in for a bit of a nostalgia buzz.

Alison Baxter keeps the best Cellar in Lancaster. The beer is always excellent-I've never had a 'bad pint' in all the time I've been going. The lively young punters only add to the atmosphere of what is becoming something of an 'institution'......and no 'thick townies'.

I was rather looking forfard to visiting this establishment but apart from the live music it's a bit of a dive, rather dark, and as others have said, not fulfilling it's potential.

This pub has deteriorated beyond recognition since the last two managers left. I visited a few months ago and was so so disappointed. The pub always had a reputation for being welcoming and friendly with imaginative and decent landlords who put on regular live music. Whoever has taken over this place should be shot!!

This pub is a bit like something out of the League of Gentlemen, i.e. a local pub for local people. However, it does have one saving grace, and that is the decent live music the put on upstairs. Saw a great band a few months ago called Kairoscuro.

I used to be a regular at this pub many years ago. I revisited this year and it had changed completely. It was full of crusties, there was a strong smell of sweat and the young people there looked like throw backs from the 70's. So disappointing. Bring back Mike or Cal. They really made the place hop.
