booked table for Wednesday evening, food took an hour to arrive and then was found to be just warm.portions like most marstons ok if you're a large mouse, not good enough for a grown man.will try hard to avoid marstons, the sun in particular in future.

After visiting this pub for the last 4 weeks on a sunday for sunday lunch was just wondering why at 4pm you dont have any left? Your advertising sunday lunches 2 for 1 all day.....i understand that you may run out maybe once or twice but every sunday for the last 4 weeks.....would it not make nore sense to order more in? I was very disappointed with this on sunday and the staff made no effort to explain why it keeps happening.....we wernt the only ones that came for lunch there were other customers aswel......in the end we went to wetherspoons where we got a sunday lunch and drink for 11 pound no problem at all....you are losing a lot of customers to wetherspoons because of your lack of sunday lunches.....think you need to change the advert for this offer to only available 12pm till 4pm has after this time you dont have any......

I'm a local chap who used to visit the pub weekly. Unfortunately, I do not anymore and would agree with the comments of other's re the current licencees.
It is a grave shame as it sell's my favourite beer and could do so much more business of which I would happily support if things improved.

I visited this pub for lunch on Friday 2nd Oct., with my wife, her 88 yr old mother and a freind aged 89. The staff were polite , friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and with the "2 for 1" offer, we paid less than 20 for 4 meals. (Excluding drinks). I would recommend it.

I have been several times to the Sun Inn as it accepts babies and children, however today Monday 4th May it was just myself and my husband. We walked straight in and found a table which we was pleased to do as the pub was packed. We were reading the menu when the Manager came up to us after we had been there for approx ten minutes and asked us to move as he said that the table had been set aside for a group of four people. We advised him that the table was not reserved and that we had been here for ten minutes to which he replied that they dont reserve tables but this was for the group of four people. What I think this man was saying was that it was a busy pub and that he wanted the custom of four people instead of two!! When we had got up to leave as no way were we staying this so called Manager SNORTED IN VICTORY!! When my husband told him not to snort at him he said he had a cough!! So my advice is unless you are a big group your custom is not wanted in this pub even though you go there three times a month!! I think the manager needs a lesson in public/personality manners. You may have got the bigger order today but you have lost a lot of orders in the future!!

A pity this pub was altered,No atmosphere, nothing special to go for a drink for.Food over priced (and under portioned).
Great area but spoiled by this changed pub.
Gordon Ramsey could even fail with this one.

Decent pub for food but the gaffer and his wife are an acquired taste.
