please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Stumbled across this site quite by accident.
Had to read the low down on the Bryn as i go there quite often.
Am in agreement about the cleanliness of the place, in general its pretty grubby, but the prices are good and its busy most weekends - which is what you want if your out for a laugh.
Ive spoken to the manager a few times, he seems an ok guy, and as for oggling (great word!!) im not sure why he would do that as i met his missus on New Years Eve and she was a stunner, a really lovely girl! Mind you, according to Mitch another manager there he treats her like he treats his pub, which all these comments seem to agree is in a pretty sorry way.

Is that his name? Well, Dave was very rude to a female friend of mine......
He is so loud and egotistic. I think he should concentrate on running his pub instead of oggling the girls who go there to drink. Foul!!!!
Best night ive had in there was a night when a massive rugby guy appeared to be the shift leader or whatever they call it. Not a single brawl.............and the atmosphere was great.....

Called in here Friday afternoon, to meet a few friends, and it was certainly an improvement from our last visit. Seems like the Manager ( who I suspect is Dave below ) has been reading the posts on here, and actually done something about the place. Which has to be a step in the right direction I suppose .........

Its not the greatest pub in the world, but it is a very friendly, student friendly, female friendly, relaxed pub mainly offering a cheap range of drinks and food.

There are 14 tvs and 2 big screens so watching sport here isn't an issue ! With 4 pool tables and lots of video gaming machines - its a place to have BIG fun with mates.

You will find it is very busy on the weekends which gives it a great atmosphere - unless your looking for somewhere for a quiet table with the wife ....

They do a quiz night on a Thursday - aimed at the younger generation. If your a bit of a boffin or pub quiz good guy - theres a good chance you'll get highly placed in the winners :o)

Another Pub in the area offering very cheap meals at a price of 2:99, mind you I dread to see the state of the Kitchen in this place, if the Bar, and Toilets are anything to go by.......

Must admit, I certainly agree with some of the comments below, the Manager does seem more interested in walking his large St. Bernard Dog around the area, than actually concentrating on running this Pub nowdays, with the result the customers do what they like, both inside and outside the premesis. So it's a place to avoid at all costs. The sooner it gets shut down, the better, is the general opinion of the residents, and who can blame them.......

Zero rating from me as well.........

A manager who seems to have lost the will to live, the vilest toilets I've seen in a pub in years, customers snorting cocaine on top of the wheelie bin outside and on local residents' window sills. Regular brawls and visits from the police. Dire food. Clientele urinating in the lane behind the pub and, on one occasion I saw, up against the front wall. Broken glass and cigarette butts littering the street outside. I know for a fact the local residents are coming to the end of their tolerance with the way this pub has gone, and how its affecting their lives, because this isn't a bad area. The manager needs to open his eyes to how bad this pub has become, though I and others get the impression that he doesn't give a damn. Only place I've ever given a zero rating to.

Called in here recently in the early afternoon, and was a bit suprised how grubby it was looking, still got good cheap deals on some beers though. However the " For Sale " sign outside tells me this Pub is going to change for the worse soon, as its a managed House at the moment, and anyone taking this place on will certainly need to increase their prices by a lot to survive. Seems to be a lot of other Pubs going this way lately in Swansea.

The Bryn has had many incarnations and in it's present state it's a bit too student orientated chain bar for my tastes. However, there a couple of big screen TVs and it's a great place for watching the rugby, particularly Wales or Ospreys matches.

This is a great local pub with lots of atmosphere, great staff, and cheap drinks.
Definitley a place to spend the nights having a nice drink.
