I visited here for the first time since their move away from being a "draughtless" bar. I had a pint of Erdinger and my head nearly exploded when I was informed of the damage. Christ. Its OK in here, the seating isn't particularly comfortable unless tiny wooden stools are your thing.

Apart from if a mate of yours was playing a set, I can't think of a reason why you'd choose this over other places in the Devonshire Quarter. As mentioned, its pretty pricey and lacking in ale (though they have recently got round to getting fosters and erdinger on draught - don't rush all at once will you?). A bar of this size doesn't easily lend itself to conversation, especially when the music is on. If trendy bars are your thing, head for the Forum or Bungalows and bears. If decent beer is your thing, head to the Devonshire Cat or the Old House.

Expensive, with reasonable selection of bottled beer. Tried the house wine, which was very poor. Hope the more expensive wines are of better quality. Has some pleasant live music, although the layout of the bar means only a limited number of people will get a decent view.

Expesve, but really chilled out, nice decor, good staff, and live music. Ticks all the boxes. Except on price. And totally lacking in ale. And totally lacking in draught beers at all, actually.

Decent place that thinks it is a lot more upmarket than it is because it only sells bottles and nothing draught. However it is still a lot better than most of the booze barns around this part of town as most of the clientele are there to chat rather than just get drunk. Quite studenty but not overwhelmingly so. Gets very busy at the weekend.

This place has a great atmosphere and a good selection of drinks, even if it lacks a cocktail menu.

Always a good place to take dates Ive found, especially on tuesdays for the live music.

All in all lovely place, lots of character.

This is a great bar, good atmosphere, friendly, relaxed, nice wine and a good selection of beers. Think this place along with the Dog and Partridge where the first places in Sheffield to stock the magical Magners Cider.

Cafe / Bar. Laid back atmosphere. Live music mid week.
