Been told improvements to pub under new management but same owner.

pub now under new owners got live bands and karaoke on at weekends staff welcoming and a nice pleasant atmosphere in pub now

Friends living in Rothesay tell me this pub has just closed it's doors - says it all doesn't it folks!

was in town for funeral 1st time in 30+ years could not believe how some pubs have gone and others gone downhill. this being one of worse closing at 6pm most nights and some locals said been known to close sundays. I can only guess last comment was posted by owner/employee.

the brandane bar has changed so much over the past year,new staff and recentley decorated and cleaned to a proper standard,tommytucker who gives his view has been in pub 4 times in 2 years,how anyone can call this friendly ,welcoming, bar bad are small and narrow minded,it is a working mans pub and that will never change.

place has gone down hill sadly for a while now

One visit more than enough, no wonder been up for sale for while.

was pub when down for jazz weekend and would agree with most of comments about this pub

New owner will have to make major changes to this pub was in during Easter Weekend 1 pint and left.

this pub is up for sale now so there will probably be a few changes

Anyone visiting Rothesay give this pub a wide berth. Not the cleanest pub, regulars drunk during day playing cards. One one person in bar most nights apart from barmaid/owner so I am told by locals. Pub bar long & narrow. lounge closed open only in summer.

New Year day visit unfriendly drunk regulars & bar staff not friendliest in world. would not go back.

This is one pub I would give a wide berth, the language from some punters is terrible and staff don't seem to mind.

Clientel not very nice lots of swearing and agression among them. Female staff member(which turned out to be the owner)unfriendly preferring to read a book in lounge bar to mixing with customers in main bar, who had to call on her to serve them. First & last visist to this pub I'm afraid, on passsing on a darts night their own darts team who were playing in another pub could not get in for an after game drink as it closes early in evening when quiet.
