Never went in the Dubliner b4 the fire, howeva was very quick to try out and have been a dozen times since re opening. The bar staff are relly friendly and they do the best Guiness ive had in Birmingham. Can be rowdy if Small Heath have just played a game.

This pub was completely destroyed by fire two nights ago (26th July 06) in a suspected arson attack.

The first place we dived into after coming off the coach. Needs another refurb in the toilets, I'd say. Bog(excuse the pun)standard unhappy looking bird behind the bar, usual dog behind the bar. Nice Irish cider. Food only on weekends, apparently. Nice mix on the jukebox. Not the kind of place to brave of an evening, I would guess, but a handy little stopping off point in the daytime.

this pub use to be a very good pub with alot of brilliant live music and good customers now it as gone down hill with all the riff raff thats allowed into it and all they have now is a disco.they say its a good irish pub but all the irish as gone out of it now its completely changed

Worth a visit for the sake of human safari if nothing else - used to be the best lively Irish pub in Birmingham before O'Neill's etc got in on the ethnic act. Next to Digbeth coach station, is now somewhat quieter with a 'colourful' clientele, and has been refurbished in the style of a council block lift - no really, Leprachauns as drawn by a graffito artist. Weird.
