They seem to stick to just doing the one ale - Natterjack. Better they do one ale well than do more that they don't have a market for. Handy for a swift pint between trains though locals are freindly and you may end up missing the odd train.

They have converted the lower bit that used to house the pool table into a fish & chip shop so now it's half pub half fish & chip shop. In the pub half they still do a reasonable pint of Natterjack.

Had a reasonable pint of Frog Island Natterjack in here. This is the first pub you come across enroute from the station to the town centre. A split level average kind of town pub with pool table etc. Handy for nipping infor a quick pint between trains.

Split-level pub, with the main bar and pool table area at the higher level and another room with more tables down a few steps in what must have been a separate building in the past. There are also a few benches in the yard out the back. Three handpumps - all local brews, with two from th Frog Island Brewery plus Phipps NBC IPA (£2.50, but a bit 'end of the barrel'). Very handy for Northampton station if waiting for a train connection.

The sticky floor syndrome has now been circumnavigated by carpeting throughout. Smokey. Dubious music. Bar skittles. Handy for railway station. Local Frog Island beer.

dark, draby and you stick to the floor! they have some intresting bands playing upstairs in a function room with no bar!
