definitely closed - is now the AH King Noodle Bar according to the sign. hope the great face from the pub sign went to a good home and wasn't just thrown in a skip, but i doubt it...

Never like to see a pub closed. Hopefully it will reopen as something decent. This used to be the Falkland Arms which had maybe the worst service in London.

Closed? I can only hope it was condemned. I lived and worked there for a year in the late 90's, and the place was a health hazard then. The place was infested with mice, the landlord was an abusive drunk, and he openly encourged topping up beers for tourists from the drip trays for the good of his stock levels & profit margins (which he'd later drink for free himself). I hope the place is reduced to rubble.

Closed. Shame, didn't like the pub much but their Kronenburg was nice. It is to let, so not closed for refurbishment.

"Closing down" you saY? Good. I look forward to dancing on the ruins. One of the worse pubs ever.

This place is closing down, can you believe it?!!!
This is/was the best place for a drink and some food in bloomsbury. Now I will have to go to The Plough or (god forbid) the Museum Tavern!
The manager and the staff are great and will be sadly missed. They have a good understanding with the customers and know how to keep the heavy drinkers in order. It is a tragedy that its closing down. The manager is going to The Glassblower in Piccadilly next. Probably worth the walk!

I went here a few times when I lived in Bloomsbury. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. No locals, so it feels rather soulless, and the customers are usually on their way somewhere else, so it never feels homey. Food is average, drinks are normal.

Popped in for, we hoped, aswift bite to eat before going on to a party. Took an hour for us to get our food, which sat behindthe bar for ages and was wrong each time.

"It's a problem when an australian tried to talk to an Kenyan"

Like that was going to win us over. Neither did the fre drinks.

Why are pubs run by people who've not got the first idea? Surely the starvation wages these chain-brewery's pay could, at least, go to someone who know how to organise food?

Avoid

Went for lunch in here once, there was 5 people in the place and it took 45 min for someone to serve us. Crap.

Great pub. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I was very well looked after by the staff. The assistant manager was very helpful and kept everything together. I will definitely be going back!!!!

Not bad, fairly twee pub. Had the platter for 2 combo meal. Tasted as expected. Fairly friendly staff, the Bull and Mouth seems as if it's the only pub around for miles. Which it isn't. Need to walk off the beaten track though.

Very very slow food service.

Part of an obscure chain I don't know the name of (another one of the chain near Southampton Uni). Good food, reasonable selection of beers and friendly staff.
