Visited this pub during the recent Royal Albert Bridge 150 celebrations, of course it was heaving, but with its great beer and friendly locals we had a great time, the food looked good as well. The terraced beer garden out the back overlooks the 2 bridges in question over the Tamar and is a suntrap, its right opposite the Plymouth bound platform at Saltash station. A proper local pub trying hard to serve the community.

Great pub and fantastic food. Owners that care about the beer the food their staff and the customers which is lovely to see. Probably the 2nd best pub in saltash after the Rodney (its the beer and staff!).

Went in recently to sample the beer garden, which i must say is looking great, and extremely spacious. Should prove popular once the smoking ban is in place. Although the edition of a couple of patio heaters would go down a treat.

I'll also return to have the pleasure of being served by the lovely barmaid that was on at the time, an added bonus to a great pub.

Went in a few weeks back, and I must admit, I wasn't sure what to expect. It's different since Paul and Steph went, but definitely still my favourite pub in Saltash

Just a couple of weeks ago, but they are still in the area.

When did they leave afriend? I'm gutted to hear that, they were great. Not been in for about a year as I haven't been down.

Sorry to hear that Paul & Steph are no longer at the pub. They worked really hard to haul the place up from the gutter. Have had many a great night there. It's one of the few places in town where you can get a decent glass of wine from a bottle and not one of those horrible taps!

Agree with Kernow21.
Just to add it's got a belting - and under-used beer garden!

Great pub, love drinking here. The beer is the best in Saltash and there is alway a good guest ale. Everyone in there is friendly unlike other pubs in the area and the staff are very good. Always look forward to drinking there.

i really like this pub, its may be one of, if not the smallest boozer in saltash, but it makes up in warm welcomes what it lacks in size. Also its position on one of the steepest hills for miles can put off certain members of society, i.e the disabled, the old, the unfit and the flatliners? The landlady is a lovely person and i enjoy the occasional visit to reflect on what a pub used to be like, before commercialism stepped in.

The ideal setting for Two Bridges Wednesday, an institution I miss when I'm not home.

Friendly staff, which is a bonus as they're often the only people to talk to of an afternoon in there.

In short, perfect for a quiet pint of an afternoon, livens up a bit in the evenings. A real locals place.

Nice old fashioned pub. Is now run by new owners Steph and Paul who make everyone welcome. Serves some excellent beers, and has a lovely beer garden for those summer evenings.
