Feels like its tucked out of the way nicely. They have a nice pub cat. Quite spacious, you can usually get a seat and it has a garden. Food is ok.

I've always liked The Crescent but they now need to sort out their wine prices rapido. They recently upgraded what was previously an appalling selection, which was good news. But then strangely, weeks later, the price of that new selection has been hiked up beyond reason... 11.20 for 2 large glasses & nearly 18 for a pretty average bottle of rioja - come on guys be serious, this is a local boozer, not Claridges!!

I've had decent roasts here in the past but a quick glance at the food menu recently (8.50 for ham egg & chips!!) confirmed I won't be going down that road again any time soon either. It's a shame when people get greedy, they ruin it for themselves.

Harveys has improved again and is now better kept than ever. One problem in this place is that you occasionally have to wait or attract the barmaids attention because they are texting their friends or reading a magazine or newspaper.Don't like the impression that I'm there for their benefit.

A back street local pub that is very smokey.Has a nice little beer garden out the back if you need some fresh air. All in all don't expect too much and you will not be disappointed.

An alright local boozer. A friend of mine used to work here so i used to pop in fairly regularly. I dont any longer, but will occasionally go in if im strolling past or want a change of scene. Very nice beer garden for the summer.

The beer (Harvey's) is now a lot better than before, although it is not as tip-top as it might be.Pub quiz on Tuesdays is a proper general knowledge quiz and not stuffed with contemporary music, television etc, which might explain why it is so busy .Atmosphere is friendly and laid back. Heaven forbid the day it turns into a bar/bistro type of place.

I recently moved to the next street along from the Crescent and I was pleasantly suprised. Its not a great pub by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a good traditional boozer. The beer is ok,and the clientele are not too rough. Would not go out of my way to drink here, but if you live or work nearby it is a good starting point!

Shame it doesn't become a pub/bar/bistro (whatever that is) as it might then be worth a visit. At the moment, the only thing going for it is the pub quiz on Tuesday, but even then it gets so smoky you can't even see the next table. On any night of the week, the beer is terminally bad

One of the few pubs in Brighton that's not trying to make the move into a pub/bar/bistro. So you can forget about finding a trendy flower display in the fireplace and fashionable cocktails. A traditional pub where you're more likely to get pork scratchings with your pint, than tapas with your triple vodka. Good job too. Good place go anytime, friendly bar staff and pulls all kinds of customers.
Pub quiz on tuesdays is popular and pretty hard. Recomended for a quietish drink weekdays.
