Nice and friendly, good to see a pub with a real fire. ( how long has mark had a missus then lol )

Popped in for a couple of pints on cold Saturday lunchtime. The pub was heaving with musicians from the town hall concert. Landlord & landlady seemed fine. It seemed fine and looked like it was improving.

Dead as a dodo when i visited a couple of sundays back, shame as they had live music performing to an empty pub. Sharps Red Ale,Adnams Bitter & S Neame Bitter featured of which i opted for a perfect pint of the latter @ just 2.50 pint. 6/10

This pub is not at all bad, selling a reasonable range of beer with at least one reasonably priced and well kept ale on draught. It's not a quiet pub by any means, but its clientele are pretty harmless on the whole. They have live music at weekends which can be a bit hit and miss, but is always good fun. The service is prompt and it's a reasonably comfortable place. Certainly worth a look if you like pubs with atmosphere.

Great pint of Abbot on offer at 2.70 now, well kept and tasty. Steve the Landlord bent over backwards to accomodate people on Remembrance Sunday with coffee or someting stronger, a true Gent.

i have drunk there since i was 18 and have even worked there i know how the dozy barmaid was and she is nolonger there,

this is the most friendly and funniest pub i have been to and if you take the time to talk to people you'll find they think the same as me

Looked like a typical Dover pub (if you've been to a couple, you'll know what I mean), but better than I expected. In addition to all the usual lagers, also offered a reasonable pint of Gadd's No. 5 from Ramsgate Brewery.

I would just like to say that the Prince Albert is one of the best in the town, I myself was there over the weekend and they had a party going on to raise money for a local school. Everybody was enjoying themselves, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the decor had changed since my last visit and I must say how nice it looked. They have a very large selection of Beers and Ciders, overall a very nice public house, i will definately be visiting again.

The Ruddles was all that was on offer.

My review was based on a mid afternoon visit, when it was really quiet. I will visit again, and if my visit is a better experience than my last, then I will be more than happy to give the pub an improved score.

I've been drinking in the Albert for at least the last 10 years and feel quite saddened by the comments posted here. It's a lively, warm and friendly place and the staff and management are all lovely people, as are most of the punters.

I've not figured out who "dozy barmaid" is yet. I personally know all the staff in the Albert and in a decades worth of drinking there have never once had issue with any of them. Denise, Eliza, Mick et al are all friendly, approachable and intelligent people with great sense(s) of humour and always up for a laugh.

By far the best pub in Dover, almost a second home in fact. I should imagine a subsequent visit to the Albert might alter a certain gentlemans bitter-sweet (another oxymoron <- note: spelt correctly) analysis of the place.

Maybe said gentleman, who posted the previous comments, had one too many Ruddles Best prior to visiting the Albert and was a touch over-sensitive. Who drinks that pap anyway?!

A pint of Sambuca please dozy barmaid!!

Ahh..'The Albert'...my local for the last few years and whether you're in for an afternoon pint or a friday night session, it's always a laugh. Despite the previous comment I have always found the staff friendly and professional. The beer is always good quality (I've NEVER had a dodgy pint!) and the now increasing variety of ciders, including strawberry & pear, as well as a great selection of real ales make this place well worth a visit if you're in town

My last stop after Blakes and 'Spoons - why the hell did I bother? Big pub, three other customers, a dozy barmaid with her hand superglued to her mobile. I eventually got served a pint of Ruddles Best - that in itself was an oxmoron! I was given a short measure and had to ask for it to be topped up, which it was with acompanying "tut" noises. If I had visited this grothole before 'Spoons, the latter would have gotten a score of 5-6 instead of 4.

Truly awful. the only reason it gets 1/10 instead of zero is because it's Friday afternoon, and I'm in good humour
