please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This place is a shithole and that is being generous.

Think that some of the earlier reviews are a bit harsh. Agreed - its certainly not a 'real ale' pub - but you can get a good pint of cheddar valley here.
I always find it amusing when people say they are too scared to venture into the Livvie. As a lone female I have ventured here on many an occassion, and never had a problem. Its perfectly friendly, and the landlord and landlady are always very pleasant. It is a rather quirky place, with an aviary out the back, and certainly does have the external appearance of a public lav. Go on, be brave - give it a go.......

A local pub for local people. Weird ones at that.

Have you seen Deliverance? Well have you? Its a bit like that in there! Get yourself on the Cheddar Valley, its bright orange and not even on a pump thats labeled currently 2.30 a pint. Put it this way nobody will walk out of there without change from 20 if you drink just that! Try the chilli sauce too if you get a chance its great. 10 / 10

wierdest pub in bath? probably! looks like a public urinalfrom outside! landlady more concerned abut her cat than customers. worth a visit for the bonkers rating ,def not the beer though!

Went there twice when I was checking out pubs when I first moved to Bath. Don't know why I went the second time - maybe the off-licence on Moorland Road was closed!

often passed it but never been brave enough to go in!

Madness. This is the pub from village of the damned. worryingly cosy though. got asked to leave once which was odd cos I had'nt hit anyone.

Strange layout on the inside, good old jukebox on the right hand side. Quite scary for many a reason, very much a 'locals' pub despite being right in the middle of the main student high street. However have had some good fun here but it definitely involves alot of alcohol! They have guiness (cant remember anything else about the drinks).

Has been mistaken for a public convenience on many an occasion, and if you go inside, it looks very much the same. A great pub for a pint and a fight.

Frosted glass makes it sound nice.....they're glass bricks - very lavatorial!

This pub makes you worried straight away, in that it has no windows, only frosted glass.

You are guaranteed to see a fight, but the locals are largely friendly. You can also buy cider out of a plastic bottle, if your liver can stand it.
