please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I like it, it does what it says on the tin - just a place to meet mates and have a drink, no pretensions to be anything else. Beer is usually good and reasonably priced and the staff are always quick to serve you even though it can get busy on a Friday night.

The bar maid was really miserable and tried to short change me - no apology. The pint of IPA I had was definitely the worst handpull I've had in a long time.

On the plus side, a fairly relaxing place to have a chat with friends.

The Old Garage (as is I believe it’s current name) is a newish looking Greene King bar serving IPA, Old Speckled Hen and a plethora of lagers. The décor is fairly minimalist with bare brick walls and a low ceiling. There are plenty of TV’s but it was surprisingly not busy just as a Premiership game was about to start. Next door to a JD Wetherspoons so the £2.70 a pint for OSH might be a factor in this. Pleasant enough place for the Sunday papers.

A Greene King Chain Pub, but a suprisingly nice pint of IPA "Super Chilled" was had, Food Looked Well Priced Too. 8/10

If you're South African, a local to call your own. If you're not the tube station nearby is handy as it'll wisk you off to somewhere better(Upminster?)for a drink.

This is a good place to go for Sunday lunch, in fact the food's good all the time, with a wide selection & very reasonable prices. Drinks are (inevitably) more expensive than the adjacent "Grid", but worth the little bit extra for a decent, ice-cold pint. There have been a few mentions about the South Africans who drink here... all I'll say is that the post on 17/10/03 from "anon" (I wonder why?), particularly the words "your bunch", fairly neatly sums up the "this is how we are, if you don't like it then f**k off" attitude encountered, not on every single visit, but often enough to make you slightly reluctant to go in.... on one occasion, one of my friends was called a c**t for the heinous crime of wearing a t-shirt with a (totally non-offensive) logo. No doubt I'll automatically be smeared as anti-SA, but at least I'm not telling people where to go whilst hiding behind the gutless "anon" tag.

Probably the best place for a drink, but theres not much choice in the area anyway. Best plod on down to the pig and whistle as suggested by olly. And who's 'our bunch'?

I don't know how anyway can comment on the fact that there are so many saffa's at the Gargage. Fair enough we tend to stick together but if you don't like it why don't you join the rest of your bunch next door at the grid. And leave us to enjoy ourselves at the Garage

Worth a walk into Earlsfield from here as the pubs are better and more numerous. The choice in Southfields is limited and as this is the best its worth looking further afield eg. The Pig and Whistle

great atmos.
friendly staff.

the only bad thing is the number of saffas, that aside its a great place any night of the week.

One of 2 pubs in the middle of Southfields, but definitely the only place to be. Entertainment on 3 out of 5 week days, games and a great atmosphere.
