A good pub good food and a wide selection served by charming staff. Bags of parking with a municipal car park very near. Close to BSE Abbey gardens. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best pubs in Bury if you like a nice meal and a good pint to go with it. Food we had was great (particularly the puddings which were magnificent!), lovely beer (all GK based but some of their more interesting ones) and the service really is excellent. Very friendly and helpful service and well situated for a stroll in the Abbey gardens to work off that pudding afterwards. Highly recommended.

Almost become a restaurant that serves beer rather than a genuine pub. That said, the food is great, the service is excellent, and the beer is better than decent - a good pint of IPA or Speckled Hen, and a changing rota of specials or guests (Ale Fresco and Olde Trip on the night I visited). Worth seeking out, but if intending to eat (especially in the evening) you'd be advised to book.

Food and beer at the Fox is superb. All drinks are served by friendly and attentive staff. Food is all freshly prepared and the cheese board and home made chips are a treat. There's a great selection including vegetarian, fish, pasta and organic options. It's totally smoke free so has a clean atmosphere. Everyone taking a trip to Bury St Edmunds should visit. Just a patio area to the rear.

Great atmosphere, wonderful food. Limited menu but there are always specials so you have a good selection. Food is freshly made and worth the little extra wait. Nice and friendly staff and good location next to the Abby. Definatly worth going here for a good meal!

A really well decorated pub now. Better than it used to be with no idiots anymore.

Good beer, great food and five centuries of history wrapped around it. A very comfortable, welcoming pub.
