Eight of us at ehere today, the starters arrived at same time as main corse, the barman didnt care. The wood was below par, I would say 4/10. The gravy was watery, the mashed potatoes were out of a packet................... Need I go on.
Save yourselves and go elsewhere!!!

Stayed here over a weekend, on arrival received a very warm welcome.

The pub is very large with two main areas, a bar and lounge with two eating areas. The staff were excellent and coped well with a busy Friday night with a quiz in the bar and a couple of groups of ladies on a good night out. Saturday night not so busy but still had a great atmosphere.

The pub caterers for the local community and frequented by friendly locals. There were two ales on, both in good condition, the food is popular and a good choice and reasonably priced

The room was very clean and tidy, and good breakfast, again the staff were great. Only one negative comment was that the shower could do with being be a bit more powerful.

However will certainly stay again when back in the area as its right by the coast and not far from the local wildlife reserve.

One comment the picture shown is of the Royal Hotel up the road

My mum used to own the place, she retired last year & it's now run by a brewery (Marstons i think). I haven't been in since.

stayed here in the 60's and early 70's many atime. also went camping at the nicholl's farm now owned by Frank Burrows the butchers. Had some wicked times there and as a family we have had some great days out there with nice meals and the odd drink. Don't seem to remember the silverdale arms pub, only the royal hotel opposite Shaws petrol station and the club. Was there this year, 2007 for a quick pint while staying in Blackpool for a week seems to have gone in decline

Nice pub with a little computer cafe bit put to one side, couple of pool tables, very spacious and an excellent choice of draughts. At a 3 minute walk from my old man's place it's a gem!

Also recommend the silverdale arms down the road as well.
