Some of the toliets in the woments toilets haven't got toilet seats and no toilet paper, that just isn't acceptable. Charge quite high prices for drinks, which you wouldn't mind so much if they had the facilties to match!

Great place for a lunchtime drink - but a bit of a 'destination bar' in the evening. Always found the staff to be very good (and stunning!) - the atmosphere on Friday or Sat night is one of "look at me, look at me, desperation" - but a lot of places are like that at the weekend.

The drinks aren't particularly good, but this place is all about the location and to see and be seen! Nowt wrong with that

The food has gone downhill - it used to be pretty good for food. We got some burgers (7) the other day and they were the worst value I've seen in Leam. It seems like they used frozen ones, there was no relish or anything else in the burger apart from a few bayleaves, and about 8 chips. Rubbish.

I like this bar, it has a really lovely garden for the summer. Staff have always been really lovely to me, I think its ridiculous that people get called stuck up just cause they dare to take pride in thier appearence - thats the only crime I can see them commiting - being good looking and wearing nice clothes!!

Yes I am under 25 but by no means a chav. However I really like this bar, yes some people are up their own arses but you get that everywhere.
Went in for lunch today with my Nan (who is obviously over 25) and she really enjoyed herself aswell. The bar staff were very polite and professional to both of us. The manager nor other staff members have ever been rude to me or any of my friends.
Can get a little cramped on a fri or sat night, but this just proves what a good bar it is. A good place to go any night of the week.

Haha..loving the comments on here...i actually went to school with the manager (i think he's the manager anyway!)

I'm not much of a Leam drinker these days but popped in a few weeks ago as it was someones leaving do...and my god hasn't it changed! I remember the good old days of the Coach and Horses...when it was in 2 sections, blastaways and the dj behind the bar lol, and a little later on when it used to be packed with lads in YSL shirts haha...yeah i know..shoiwng my age!! :O

The drinks seemed reasonably priced, mind you i was drinking coke. It seemed a nice atmosphere overall what with the ethnic vibe and low lighting...as for the the music - it wasn't bad at all, one of the old Crazy Daisys lads was djing - Mark Gozdeki, and it was pretty much background music, ideal for just chilling and chatting while enjoying a nice cold drink.

8/10 this was a Fri night though, i've not attempted a Sat night out in Leam for a long time.

Now trying to do football, just wont work, pretentious, pricey, poncey, pathetic
drunkdave - 31 May 2006 18:08
This bar is a nice bar decor-wise, and the staff are ok, but the problem is the people who go there. I do not know why all the people who seem to think they are god's gift to mankind choose this bar but they do....check it out as you are walking past and if it doesn't look too busy then try it out. I find the ceilings a bit low and it is very dark - sometimes you just want to get outside for some air!

Trying very hard to be something it's not, somewhere it's not.

Opening the front door of Mumbai Bluu is a bit like walking into an X Factor audition. Half-baked ugly chav wannabes with Toni & Guy (no. 4) haircuts dressed in pastel yellow, replica vintage t-shits with faded motifs line every wall heavy with the pungent stench of Calvin Klein's latest scent, 'Desperation'.
If you're a vacuous idiot (who thinks they are in London when they're actually in sleepy Leamington Spa), with some of the above attire and crave the company of likeminded, attention seeking simpletons then bingo, you have found your paradise.
If on the other hand you're not then just go elsewhere...

Sign outside clearly stated kids allowed in until 7pm, barman also reitterated when inside, 6.30 after lots of looking over at us manager comes over at changes the time that we had to leave to exactly....6.30. Extremely rude and very unhelpful, basically we make the rules, we dont want you here so on ya bike. Lots of other pubs to go to nearby !!
johnnyboy91 - 5 Feb 2006 13:24
poncy, pretentious and full of rich kid chavs! overpriced, over-rated, yet somehow still rakes the cash in... the bubble will burst soon
drunkdave - 4 Jan 2006 13:38
I'm sure this place is trying to be some of the nice bars in London that I've been to around Soho, but somehow just not pulling it off, instead just having really arrogant bar staff who are spread too thinly (you'll be waiting a while when it gets busy), and ear splitting crap being played (sack the DJ man...).
Nice looking place though. I used to go to school with one of the door staff, so I cannot take them seriously, as I know its all front with those guys. If you're there to pull, great, else move on...

I love Mumbai Bluu... I can understand why some people might not like it - it's by no means a 'pub' and makes no pretence to be. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but if you want cheap drinks, go to a Wetherspoons or a Yates and join in with the semi-alcoholic all-day drinking crowd. Probably the best thing about Mumbai is the beer garden... it's fantastic on a hot sunny day to get one of their carefully selected wines, take it out in the beer garden with a big group of friends and pass the afternoon/early evening watching the beautiful clientele showing off their super-fashionable clothes/ haircuts/ sunglasses/ friends etc and listening to the funky 70s-soul-inspired music. Pretentios? Maybe a little - but in the best possible way! Admittedly, it can get a bit crammed inside later on on a Friday or Saturday night, especially in Winter when it's too cold to sit outside and if you're after a quiet drink or hoping to hold anything resembling a conversation with your companions, it's probably better to head elsewhere.

Awful

Our friend colin_2005 is clearly one of the 'in crowd' that appears to think that having thumping music, and 'fine' barstaff make a good pub, fraid not chap.

The drinks are expensive, the staff (door included) look down at you if your not wearing whiter than white reebok classics, the music is awful, and lets remember folks, this is leamington, not London.

Avoid unless you have more 'bling' than sense.
MABJamie - 29 Apr 2005 00:53
If you are below 25 then this is the bar to be in, however beware since some of the clientele Ive see in there are closet chavs that dont get out of Leam much. On my last trip (which will probably be my last) I saw someone try to perform a press up with a pint of there head but not very well and managed to spill it over two girls, and also someone trying to catch a bottle in their mouth, again with little success.
On the brighter side the beer was cold, the music is excellent and its a nice place to be in before 10pm however if youre like me and in the over 25 (or in my case over 30) bracket then you avoid this like the plague after that time.

Took a trip to Mumbai Bluu from Coventry. A great bar with a lively atmosphere. Bar staff were friendly and overall a good night was had. Only downer was the music. DJ needs to buy some new tunes for his collection and needs to turn it down a bit!! Guess you can't have it all. Like Colin mentioned, give it a go!!
boobs - 9 Apr 2005 04:40
I found this bar pretentious and unnecessarily expensive-the bar staff were rude, the drinks were average and the decor bland and unispiring so what eaxactly was it I was paying for? I will stick to classy bars with character next time like Moo or Voodoo!
bumbledot - 22 Mar 2005 14:03
Mumbai Bluu is a top bar - arguably the best in Leamington Spa - nice bar for nice people - obviously the above people who whinge are better suited to drinking in pubs in which case why do they even try it - they know it's not there scene. Prices are standard for a nice bar, bar staff are fine & so not intimidating. Don't be put off by these comments - give it a go...
colin_2005 - 7 Mar 2005 11:17
Very rude bar staff! If you are not wearing the in thing it is very intimadating, seem to think they are running a bar in londons west end, instead of a back street in Leamington Spa!!!
TRAY - 2 Feb 2005 15:24
Would not recommend this pub, pricy drinks & bar staff are are stuck up.
_Miss_ - 12 Jan 2005 20:57
Visited the pub with a couple of friends one chilly evening, only to be told that their was a strict dress code, which included no trainers.

First of all I was wearing loafers, and second of all, I could see at least 3 other people wearing bright white 'classic' style trainers.

The place seems hugely pretencious, and I would avoid unless you really feel that there is nowhere else to go.

Not Impressed at all
MABJamie - 17 Dec 2004 19:10
No smoking area? The signs might be there, but they dont seem to count for anything! Not a bad place, bit bland, and a re-mortgage is required to buy a round, but really could do with dropping the 'i wanna be a supermodel' attitude of the bar staff!
cheekie charley - 15 Nov 2004 13:53
No complaints about the food, but, if you only have an hour for your lunchbreak, I'd order something that doesn't involve being cooked! I had a mushroom stroganoff which took 40 mins to be served, and we were the only people who had ordered food at that stage - poor people after us were not amused!
Ruth - 26 Oct 2004 15:01
Mumbai bluu has the fittest manager ever!
sexy sazi - 19 Oct 2004 11:52
Because it has just been refurbished this bar is much better and its got more life to it. Staff are really nice people. I would really recommend you go and check this bar out.
_Miss_ - 20 Aug 2004 14:10
bloody good food!!!!
Paul Foster - 19 Aug 2004 10:51
This is a newly refurbished bar with an impressive good quality image. A non smoking section which is always attractive us non-smokers and a good ambiance. The drinks are pricy but the people are good looking and well groomed, what more could a girl as for!
