Stopped here hoping for a meal but it was very crowded with no spare tables. Beer was good (normal Lees selection) and very pretty location overlooking the canal. call in past if you can.

Used this pub recently whilst on a canal holiday. Was getting served at the bar when some stroppy female member of staff, resembling a Japanese sniper pilot told me to remove my baseball cap. Get real dear........ this is well below average pub in Lancashire, not the Ritz in London.

This could be described as a versatile pub. We recently went here three times in three days and had a different experience every time! After a long day on the canal we fell in here for a pint and some dinner on the first evening. We went in the main restaurant area. The Lees beer was very good and the steak pie and chips was acceptable, if a little pricey. The next day we went for just a couple of pints and sat outside on the decking with our dog. The piped music was a little loud for our taste (old codgers) but once again the beer was ok. On the third occasion we went into the back 'sports type' bar where there is a tv, darts etc and found this a nice change from the chaotic food side and the loud piped music outside. So three pubs for the price of one can't be bad!

Carlurmston has it right - a large modern pub with plenty of parking space and a good pint of Lees' bitter or Brewer's Dark. Food acceptable if standard pub fare, and not inexpensive. We needed a pint and a meal; everything OK but the word "unremarkable" sums the place up perfectly.

Large, unremarkable Lees pub in a canalside location close to Mills Hill railway station. A central bar serves two rooms, a large dining area to your left as you enter and a slightly smaller but more pubby tap room to your right. This has Sky Sports and newspapers to look through, and old pictures on the walls.
Food plays a large part of the operation and looks reasonably priced. Usual Lees' Biter and Brewers Dark avaialble- the former was in good condition and ok, if unremarkable. On the whole then, unremarkable-nothing wrong with it but nothing that particularly stands out.

the pub alright but the landlord is always pissed at night and does nothing about the people stood blocking the passageway to the toilets they stand there everynight and are very rude to people trying to pass,it will kick off one night and the landlord will do nothing.this passage is also an exit. if you go home before 9 its not a problem. as we now do to avoid trouble.
