Belle Vue, Norwichback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
ok. food can be very good value, especially early bird specials but at busier times waiting can be very long. beer is ok though I'd always prefer to go in the Alex for a chb. a better than average pub if you lived almost anywhere else in the country but in Norwich it is pretty run of the mill.

the belle vue is alright, the locals are entertaining enough and the girls are pretty fit even if they can be a bit stroppy, i'll tell you what though the kitchen manager in that dive is to die for, she,s gorgeous, intelligent, fun,well-dressed,unsmelly and i wouldn't say no to one or two of her fishcakes. i strongly suggest a visit to admire this goddess in all her glory. careful of the snakeface!

i found this pub very friendly and nice its a city pub as they used to be.
|
pleasant enough, young persons pub, friendly staff, worth a visit.

Dingy, smelly and poor quality service. Not a favourite of mine. Has an unwelcoming feel about it, especially from the regulars proping up the bar.

Missus recommended this for a Sunday morning fry-up and I wasn't dissappointed. Seemed it was famed for it too, as we weren't the only ones. Nice and relaxing game of pool with the footy on the telly afterwards, and decent ale too. Nice pub. Haven't been again yet, but I don't live that side of the city anymore. Will do (visit) at some point though...

Think that some people must be getting their pubs mixed up. Yes there's nothing wrong with the beer but then there shouldn't be. I've been in the licensed trsde for donkey's years and there is nothing magical about keeping good beer. The only time we should mention beer is if it's not well kept. Place is friendly enough but it's dingy as shit and in the back bar it's so dark I thought I'd morphed into Stevie Wonder the fisrt time I went in there.

Friendly staff, lovely beer, good crowd of people young and old,it,s taken a good while to find a decent local again after the pickwick shut, carry on the good work !!! Rich&Mia,Belvoir st.

Please ignore the rpevious review. The place has buckets of charm and is perfect for a Sunday afternoon. And it's not advertised as a Michelin starred restaurant, is it?
|
Generally overrated, dingy atmosphere, ok beer, rubbish food and overpriced. Go to the Alexandra Tavern 30 seconds walk away

A nice friendly pub, with something of a laid back attmosphere. Excellent food, with special 'early bird' prices for those who can venture out before 7.30 pm.
