Studio 6, South Bank

Went in search of a good roast last Sunday - a thing becoming ever more elusive in London - and found this place. It was a welcome change from the dozens of chain pubs of the Yates/Weatherspoons variety that we passed all along the South Bank from London Bridge, offering pre-cooked slop at bargain prices.

My friend and I both opted for the classic roast lamb with all the trimmings (although other options on the menu looked very tasty as they wafted past our table) and it was delicious. The service wasn't the most efficient in the world, but friendly all the same. Took a while to get our bill too, but to be honest after a lovely bottle of Montepulciano and two cracking desserts we didn't care! All this for around �20 each - absolute bargain.
