| Have visited this pub throughout many of its different incarnations over the years, and whilst currently the food, service and atmosphere is at its best, the overall place is not run well. The coffee's taste as if the machine has not been cleaned properly in about a year (to which I was informed... it hasn't). The manager is never to be seen, just two very strong supporting managers. Their system works, table service is well implemented, the staff are curteous and effecient (when they're not hiding in a corner chatting), and the menu is delightful. | Friendly, non-smoking, fairly newly refurbished pub with wooden beams, plenty of candles, in a oldy worldy style. Food is of an excellent standard, with an extensive regularly changing 'chalk board' menu. anonymous - 18 Jul 2005 16:46 |
