Student night club playing your basic club music. Very nice seating area however although the dancefloor is on the small side. Once saw a vicious fist fight started by some drunken idiot but the bouncers dealt with it

Had a good time in here but it's quite an average place. Not as rock or indie as they'd like you to think as the music seemed to be your average club music. Not that that's always a bad thing. It's also not the biggest club in the world so it can rammed very quickly.

I have had some very cool nights at the Roxy, including celebrating my birthday there last year. It was a Friday night and I booked an area for roughly 20 people from 5.30 onwards, and when we arrived a large area had been duely set aside. We got stuck into the happy hour - half price pitchers of cocktails and 2-for-1 beers (bottles). When I booked the guy told me the deal - at 8pm our couches and tables would be removed as the whole bar turns into a dancefloor. We were prepared for this, and at 8pm a load of burley men turned up and quickly and expertly took all the furniture away. After this our night got crazy, and we rocked out to Nirvana, the Smiths, White Stripes... Brilliant!

The Roxy is about Rock and indie music, which is rare in London and I commend them for it. This is a decent bar in a good location, and agree with below comments, totally not up it's own arse.

Went here last night (Wednesday), twas good, everytime I bought a beer they gave me two which although drunk I figured out there's special offers going on which is always a bonus. Music was semi cheesy and indie, good place to go if you don't want to go home at normal pub closing time and want to mess up your working day by feeling like crap.

Used to go here when it was the office and went in again the other night. This is probably the only nightclub in the west end who will literally let anyone in, which is useful when you turn up with your mates at midnight all completely pissed. The drinks always seem somewhat expensive to me and the club itself is extremely dark and cramped. There is usually a ridiculously long queue for the cloakroom and the bogs are just plain nasty. Only good if you can't get in anywhere else or one of your mates turns up in trainers or a hoodie, which alienates you from everywhere else.

Thankfully with a new moniker after having the horrendous name of "The Office" and they now seem to do indie nights for students all week long. We got there after 11pm, so no idea what's it's like in the evenings or if it's even open then, but I dragged mates here for a birthday last Tuesday and everyone enjoyed themselves - not always a guaranteed thing at a midweek indie club. Excellent music (not just tedious indie anthems, but new stuff like The Futureheads) and an excellent layout. Long may it continue.

Still had to drink botted lager piss though, but at least it was half price.

I really love this place. It's always got a great mix of people, and it's one of the few places you can get into in London regardless of how you are dressed or who you are with. No pretentious trendies, everyone is always up for a drink and a laff.

Music is ace, good mix of Cheese and recent Pop at the weekends (courtesy of Dave from Preston). I'll be going back very soon...

I really enjoyed this. Cheap cocktails, 2 for 1 beers and none of the uncomfortable atmos as on so many 'trendy' bars. Super cheesy music, which gets better as the cosktails go down...

The greatest bar in the history of the world. Cheesy tunes and cheap cocktails during the week. DJ is a genius - James Brown and Guns N Roses... always feel let down by the lack of Ghostbusters

Pretty dire underground club that unsurprisingly caters for the 'office' crowd. Expect David Brents and Gareth Keenans. The music policy's a pop/ rock/ crap hybrid. Pretty dark inside too, so the likelihood of waking up next to a hideous marsh monster is quite high.

The kind of place you refuse to go to when someone suggests it but you nevertheless end up there anyway.

This is a very good place to go to on week nights. I had great nights there recently on tuesday and wednesday. Great music on tuesday, lots of rock n roll and no drum and bass crap. Decent bar, staff can be slow. Otherwise, excellent.

A basement bar, not too large, decent bar service, + dance area. I think it's free b4 10pm. Not too trendy, some suits go there.
A livley place but DJ's could be better!! Had some very good nights there, friendly place. check!
