The Three Tuns, Great Abington

We've heard so much about the three tuns that we've decided to give it a go even though we don't like oriental food. Coming into the pub we've noticed that the bar and the dinning area was mixed into one with no apparent separation, bar was in the corner with three rather large older gentlemen behind it. All the people were looking at us as we were approaching the bar (for some reason) and the one men behind the bar with tea-shirt and shorts shouted loud:
Welcome to three tuns, the cheapest pub in the village, will you be eating with us?
We said yes but softly, and than he said loudly again: would you like to try one of our local ales... Well no I said, after a second or so but even more softly, wine list please.
He must be the landlord we thought, and he handed us a small list of wines, (nothing exciting to choose from) we decided to go for a pimms.
Landlord said, please go to the dinning room (another room at the opposite part of the main pub), and someone would come shortly.
we came through one small door to this dinning room, not impressed at all.
everything about it was shabby, smelly and dirty with tired looking walls, ceiling and carpet.
All in a good spot of change or deep-clean.
At this point we would prefer to leave but we couldn't as we came through the door and ordered a drink, but in retrospect, we should just depart it after that initial intimidating meeting with the landlord.
All in all, this was experience not to be repeated, food was below average. Only good point was the waitress who was very polite and prompt.
