Christophers Martini Bar, Covent Garden

A very cool bar for that special drink or two to start or finish the night off.
Situated not far from where the Strand and Waterloo bridge meet.
Excellent Martinis and cocktails, though they do serve some bottled beers and wines most people seem to have a cocktail glass of some sort.
Low level jazz, low level lighting.
Not cheap, but pretending to be Sinatra or Dean Martin for an hour never was...

The Assembly, Tower Hill

This pub has a ceiling like you would find in a multi storey car park.
The accoustics suffer and as a result everyone has to shout to be heard over the din.
Food is pretty good and you can see the kitchen, so they have nothing to hide.
Beer is normally well kept, though they do suffer from the overseas staff habit of failing to comprehend what constitutes an actual pint. Frequent requests for top ups can get a bit tedious.

Decent enough bar though and I have had many a happy night there.

The Antelope, Belgravia

Popped in here on a Friday evening.
Pub is tucked away just off the main drag out of Sloane Square and a cracking little pub it is.
Good range of real ales, a decent nod to the lager drinkers.
Central bar and lots of cricket related stuff from their long standing competition with the Churchill.

Well worth a visit if you are shopped out on the Kings Road.
