Plough, Worcester

Smashing old style pub this. Reminds me of the first times I used to go drinking in my home town in the early 80's, where the pubs were proper public HOUSES. Just like walking into somebodies living room, straight away I knew the beer would be well kept and the toilets would be outside. Staff extremely friendly and the locals were the same. After acouple of pints here we went to the both JD Wetherspoons in town were we never even ordered a drink (too many drunk kids in the first and massive queues in the other). No doubt this pub will succumb to the breweries desire to smash the atmosphere and nostalgia out of the Plough and turn it into a mega-profit wine bar, so have a look before it dissapears.

The Steam Inn, Chester

Expensive...!!! you must be kidding, this is one of the cheapest bars in Chester... �2.25 for a pint of Becks. They also do cask bitter as well for around �2.50 a pint which still aint bad for a city center bar. Plenty of bars nearby much more expensive than this one. Three large tv screens, plenty of comfy seating, and ultra clean toilets. It gets my vote any day...!!!
