The Jug Inn, Chapel Haddlesey

Called into this pub after a recommendation from a friend who uses it regularly. Was welcomed by a very friendly older gentleman who I assume to be the landlord. He was offering a lovely range of real ales (Black Sheep and a dark mild with Wakatu by everards and a Theakstons). Tried the theakstons and the sheep, the latter being the best i've tasted in yorkshire! I sat in a very full dining room and ordered from a comprehensive menu. The food was served in good time and was nothing short of outstanding! I was also led to believe that the chef that evening was not the regular guy but one of the owners. Full marks! The place was small but buzzing with a lovely jovial atmosphere. If more pubs and restaurants utilised this particular pubs strategy then there would certainly NOT be so many closing. Full marks again to the Jug. Outstanding!
