The Fleece, North Cotes

In response to the initial review of this pub, this pub has experienced a revamp of late following a number of years in the wilderness - temporary landlords, closure, short term opening etc. Now has a stable landlord/landlady at the helm. I went for a meal there on Fri 27 August 2010, following a number of 'drink' visits over the past year or so. I must say the place has brightened considerably and food was excellent, as were the staff. The landlord/landlady appear very friendly and are eager to make this pub work as a village local/community focal point. Hence a number of themed evenings are begining to take place e.g quiz nights, karaoke etc. Food at present is available on Fri, Sat, Sun only, but is superb with cheaper 'early bird' options between 5 -7 o' clock. I'm not one to support a pub for the sake of it, but on the basis of recent visits this pub will only go from strength to strength and I will certainly be returning.
