Metropolitan Bar, Baker Street

Busy, busy place. I've been coming here for 7 years and there has been consistent good, quick, service, even at lunch time and friday evenings.
One major issue recently - as with a lot of Wetherspoons - there is no possible excuse for serving chilled (ie fridge temp or below) red wine. No, not even if it's on tap. Why not give me warm gin while you're at it?

The Chapel, Marylebone

Good efficient service. Bit dull (no pool table, no music, tables too close together to use the dart board even if there was one)
The sort of place you're happy to go to after work but wouldn't want as your local, really.

The White Lion of Mortimer, Mitcham

Grim. Been twice. St Patricks day 2010 one of the bar staff stopped a black girl coming in the door and shouted 'this is our pub' at her. Very nasty, and looking round I realised, a bit late, that yes, everyone in the bar was white (downright weird in this area). Place clearly has a reputation and people steer clear.

Only other time I went in was when we had the snow day and I walked into Mitcham for groceries. Popped in here to get something to warm me up and use the loo. Waited so long for service (bar staff on their mobile) I just used the loo and left.

Could do with a coat of paint too. Doubt I'll go back.
