The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury

The no-smoking policy is a real winner. The beer is fabulous, though sometimes (I agree with joegreen) a bit on the expensive side. Welcoming atmosphere, good food too.

The Shrewsbury Hotel, Shrewsbury

Well-known in town for being cheap. Beer is good though some days there's a better selection than others. Only problem is it always seems woefully understaffed.

The Bricklayers Arms, Copthorne

This has gone back to its original name of the Bricklayers Arms. The "jungle" paintings have disappeared so you can look at it without cringing, it's a normal local again.
