The George And Dragon, Acton

Just reopened after an superb refurbishing job...loads of character in the traditional bar area as well as a large comfortable back room for non-smokers and diners. Great selection of ales and lagers (perhaps a little too pricey though - this is Acton after all). Nearly the perfect pub, and without doubt the best (and at the same time the least pretentious) pub in Acton. I hope it does well..it's my new local.

The Fitzrovia, Goodge Street

Service without even a hint of a smile. Felt like I was putting them (the staff) out by drinking in their pub.

The Ship, Fitzrovia

A pretty bad pub. No ales (apart from Bass) and a shocking interior - way too much going on. I guess most of the local pub-goers agree - this pub was dead on a Friday night when all the others were spilling onto the streets. Meant that I got served quickly though..
