In a city that is host to such fantastic pubs like the Black Boy, Hyde Tavern and Wykeham Arms, there is absolutely no reason why you would want to go into this dingy, pikey-infested place.

Not very good if you are over 6 foot tall, the Hyde Tavern is another of Winchester's gems.

Royal Oak, Winchester
The old part downstairs is nice and quiet but the rest of the pub is bland and generally over-run by an ungainly mix of under-age drinkers, students and pikeys.
