The Ship Inn, Weybourne

What a shame, this pub is now under new management as of mid June '07, I await with baited breath to see if the new landlord lives up to the previous excellence of Wendy and Eddie - they'll be a hard act to follow.

The Ship Inn, Weybourne

THIS IS SUCH A CRACKING PUB IT'S JUST UNREAL. Eddie the Landlord is always polite and ready for a chat, his wife Wendy is usually in the kitchen preparing the most wonderful food to die for - quite a lot of which is home cooked! A great selection of meat, fish and veggie dishes available throughout the year as well as some excellent desserts, especially the "Citrus Pancakes". BEER expertly kept and a couple or three guest ales available and regularly changed throughout the week. Can get busy weekend lunch times, especially during height of the season, therefore booking advisable. YOU REALLY CAN'T GET BETTER THEN THIS PUB - if only I lived nearer I'd camp in their car park!

The Eva Hart, Chadwell Heath

On the whole The Eva Hart is still a good pub, although looking a bit shabby now, (interior wise), could do with a refurbishment, (sooner rather then later!), 95% of the time the beer is still great though. Although it's my local I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole on a Friday/Saturday night as it's absolutely packed out - forget trying to get to the bar! Move on to the White Horse, further up Chadwell Heath High Road - good pub and a lot quieter on a Fri/Sat evening!
